Who we are

Dulymade Studio is a two person web design studio based in Cape Town, South Africa. We are responsible for the personal information described below. You can reach us at hello@dulymadestudio.com.

What we collect

Only what you choose to send us:

• Your name, email address and phone or WhatsApp number, when you fill in our enquiry form or message us.
• What you tell us about your business, so we can quote and design your site.
• Design choices you send from the playground, if you use it.
• Basic, anonymous visit statistics, such as which pages are viewed and roughly which country a visit came from.

We do not collect payment card details on this site, and we do not ask for identity numbers or any other sensitive information.

Why we collect it

To reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote, design and build your website, and invoice you for the work. That is all. We do not sell your information, rent it out, or add you to a mailing list you did not ask for.

Who else sees it

A small number of service providers help us run the studio, and they only see what they need to:

• Our email provider, which delivers and stores our correspondence with you.
• The form service that passes enquiries from this site to our inbox.
• Our website analytics provider, which reports anonymous visit statistics.
• The hosting and domain providers used for your site, where those are set up in your name.

Some of these providers store information on servers outside South Africa. We only use providers that commit to protecting your information to a comparable standard.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not turn into projects are kept for up to two years, in case you come back to us. Project correspondence, quotes and invoices are kept for at least five years, because tax law requires it. You can ask us to delete anything we are not legally required to keep.

Cookies

This site uses no advertising or tracking cookies. If you use the playground, your choices are stored in your own browser so the page remembers them, and that information never leaves your device unless you choose to send it to us. Our analytics provider may set a cookie to count visits.

Your rights

Under South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act, you can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we are using it. Email hello@dulymadestudio.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not happy with our response, you can complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. If a change is significant and affects a live project, we will tell you directly.
